09.07.05 - 4:57 PM

Konami today confirmed, that the PlayStation Portable version of Nihon Falcom's action RPG Ys VI: Ark of Naphistim will be available in Japan sometime this winter for 4,800 yen ($43.78 USD). Amazon Japan still lists the game for a September 28th release, though. Originally the handheld version of the critically acclaimed PC title was scheduled to be released in spring 2005. The US version of the title has been delayed to Spring 2006.

Those who can't wait to take a first-hand look at the game, will be able to play a demo version of Ys: Ark of Naphistim at Konami's Tokyo Game Show 2005 booth. While the company has yet to announce its full line-up for the event, the handheld version of Ys VI will join the recently announced Suikoden V for PlayStation 2 as the second (confirmed) RPG to make an appearance on the floors of Makuhari Messe convention center next week.
