Nihon Falcom Classics Go Arcade
09.03.05 - 2:46 AM

Aruze used the 43rd edition of the Amusement Machine Show JAMMA to show off arcade versions of two classic Nihon Falcom titles: The strategy RPG VM Japan and the action RPG Sorcerian both have received updates by Aruze, allowing arcade goers to take on other users online.

VM Japan supports PvP battle of up to four participants. The game will be controlled by a touch panel and trading cards. Using those cards, players can summon magical creatures and pitch them against the pets of other users. At the beginning of the game, players are required to purchase a starter pack. In addition to this starter pack, booster packs increasing your battle power will be sold seperatly. While the arcade machine on display at JAMMA did not support nation-wide online battles, the finished product will offer a Multi Access Play feature, allowing users of arcade and PC versions to take on each other's beasts in battle.

VM Japan: Genpuran Senki will hit Japanese arcades sometime this fall.

Titled Sorcerian Legend, the new arcade version of Sorcerian will feature 3D visuals and a cooperative online mode supporting up to four players. Apparently the game's quests are almost complete, however the demo machine exhibited at JAMMA only allowed visitors to try out two different quests.

Sorcerian Legend will be available in Japan sometime this winter.
