In addition to the announcement of Suikoden V, the newest edition of Weekly Shounen JUMP also featured an article on Namco's next PlayStation 2 RPG Tales of the Abyss. In said article, two new characters joining protagonist Luke and heroine Tear are introduced. Jade Curtis is a cool master of weaponry serving the militarily powerful Markt Empire. The game's protagonist Luke fone Faber on the other hand, is yielding from a noble family living in the Kingdom of Kimlaska. While the two countries are currently not at war with each other, the peace between them is fragile at best. The second character introduced today is Anys Tatlin, a young member of the religious organization Lauray. The responsibility of the bright girl is to protect the leader of the organization. She always fights together with her stuffed toy Tokunaga. She also happens to have strong feelings towards Luke.

Tales of the Abyss has yet to receive a release date in Japan.
