Angela Aki to Perform Final Fantasy XII Main Theme
07.30.05 - 10:47 PM

The first day of the Square Enix Party 2005 featured a stage appearance of composer Nobuo Uematsu. The Final Fantasy series composer used the event to announce the songstress that will perform the main theme of Final Fantasy XII, "Kiss Me Good-Bye". Uematsu's choice was Angela Aki, a 28-year old daughter of a Japanese father and an American mother. Just like the composer, the songstress was also born on the island of Shikoku. Her debut single "Home" will be available in Japan on September 14th. After being introduced by Uematsu, she performed "Kiss Me Good-Bye" for the first time.

Earlier, Grandia series composer Noriyuki Iwadare had taken the stage to perform songs from Grandia II and Grandia Xtreme. Iwadare's performance was followed by J-Pop artist Miz entering the stage to sing two songs from the upcoming PlayStation 2 title Grandia III.

Afterwards the Square Enix sound team performed various songs from the action RPG Code Age Commanders: Tsugu Mono, Tsugareru Mono, Final Fantasy XI and Final Fantasy VII live.
