Princess Soft Announces Hatsukoi for PS2
05.29.05 - 10:35 PM

Princess Soft will release a PlayStation 2 version of Hatsukoi -first kiss- in late June. The title is a remake of the 2002 PC love adventure, as developed by Rune Soft. The game lets players assume the role of second-year high school student Jin Hatsushima. The fact that all the protagonist's friends already have found a boyfriend or girlfriend, forces the young lad to start looking out for a girl as well. Hatsukoi will feature the following five heroines:

Komomo Hatsushima: This third-year student is a very nice person and happens to be the school's absolute star. She has a lot of fanatic male fans.
Anzu Hatsushima: Anzu is the younger sister of the protagonist. While she is generally a nice little sister, she also has something of a little devil, constantly tripping the line between jokes and sarcasm.
Karin Takasagi: Karin is a classmate of Jin's. The daughter of a high-class family is often found playing the piano alone. She has always gotten along well with Jin.
Yusumi Shiina: Despite being no acquaintance of his, Yusumi is a girl that happens to appear around the protagonist quite often without any particular reason. She is also very quiet.
Coco Natsuno Parfait: Coco is an exchange student from abroad. She is an upbeat girl and is said to be a self-supporting student.
The game will ship on one DVD and feature full voice support for all characters with the exception of the protagonist.

Hatsukoi -first kiss- for PlayStation 2 will be released in Japan on June 30th. The standard version will be available for 6,800 yen ($62.98 US), while the limited edition will retail for 7,800 yen ($72.24 US). The latter will ship with an original drama CD.
