Namco Announces More Restructuring Details

Namco today announced further details on a large-scale organizational restructuring effort. Following yesterday's announcement regarding the appointment of Shigeichi Ishimura as new company president, more personal and structural changes have been revealed in Japan today. Following the reshuffle, Namco's board of directors will look like outlined below:

Masaya Nakamura, chairman (founder, position unchanged)
Kyuushirou Takagi, vice chairman (formerly president)
Akiyoshi Sarukawa, vice chairman (formerly executive vice president)
Shigeichi Ishimura, president (formerly CX company president)
Shukuo Ishikawa, vice president (formerly managing director)
Jun Higashi, vice president, ET company president (formerly director and ET company president)
Masahiro Tachibana, director (formerly senior management director)
Keiji Tanaka, director (formerly director, corporate headquarters chief)

Out of the 15 other executives, a total of 12 have been newly appointed, one promoted and only two executive will retain their current position. Those two are managing directors Youichi Haraguchi and Keishi Degawa. Under the directive of the newly appointed vice president Ishikawa, the company's arcade and consumer entertainment division will strengthen their cooperation.

These changes are aimed at enabling the various divisions to smoothly port content to other platforms and easily develop derivative titles. Additionally, a new PC business group was set up.
