Namco Posts Third Quarter Results

Namco has posted its financial results for the first nine months of the current fiscal year ending on March 31st. Both sales and net profit were slightly down, compared to the same period of the previous fiscal year 2003/2004, as Namco posted a net profit of 6.6 billion yen ($62.51 million US) on sales of 132.02 billion yen ($1.25 billion US).

The company also released sales numbers of indvidiual titles released throughout the first three quarters of the fiscal year 2004/2005. Below you will find a list of the games, the company has released across the three major markets. Please note, that these sales figures only reflect sales until December 31st 2004.

Japan
Tales of Rebirth, PlayStation 2, 600,000 copies
Tales of Symphonia, PlayStation 2, 395,000 copies
Xenosaga Episode II: Jenseits von Gut und Boese, PlayStation 2, 280,000 copies
Tales of the World: Narikiri Dungeon series, Game Boy Advance, 110,000 copies

North America
Tales of Symphonia, GameCube, 285,000 copies
Baten Kaitos, GameCube, 161,000 copies

Europe
Tales of Symphonia, GameCube, 184,000 copies

Asia
Tales of Destiny 2, PlayStation 2, 53,000 copies

Compared to previous estimates, the company has left its projections for the full fiscal year unchanged.
