Sega Sammy Holdings Releases Quarterly Financial Results

Sega Sammy Holdings has announced its financial results for the first nine months of the current fiscal year today. The company, which was officially established last October, has posted a net profit of 46.2 billion yen ($445.47 million US) on sales of 399.4 billion yen ($3.85 billion US) during the first three quarters of the fiscal year 2004/2005. For the full 12-month period ending on March 31st, the company currently projects consolidated sales of 528 billion yen ($5.09 billion US) and a net profit of 53.5 billion yen ($515.86 million US).

A total of 4.06 million copies of games were sold under the Sega label worldwide, as Sega has shipped 25 titles during the period lasting from October to December. Originally, the company had planned to release 26 titles and sell 4.02 million copies of software worldwide.
