Bethesda Softworks has announced a co-publishing agreement with Take-Two Interactive, under which the two companies will jointly publish and distribute The Elder Scrolls IV: Oblivion in North America and Europe. All rights and control over the development of the next generation RPG do remain with Bethesda. The sequel to the highly acclaimed The Elder Scrolls III: Morrowind has been in development for the PC platform and next generation consoles since 2002.

Oblivion is slated for a late 2005 release. Bethesda Softworks recently released The Elder Scrolls Travels: Shadowkey, a spin-off of the Elder Scrolls series, for the N-Gage platform.
