SOE Announces Untold Legends for PSP
01.06.05 - 1:01 AM

Sony Online Entertainment has announced its first title for the newest hardware of its fellow Sony Group subsidiary, Sony Computer Entertainment. The makers of EverQuest PlayStation Portable are working on an original action RPG, titled Untold Legends: Brotherhood of the Blade. Untold Legends will take players to the city of Aven, which is the last stronghold of Good in a world dominated by Evil. The player will take control over one of several heroes sent out to destroy evil beasts in the wilds of Unataca in order to save Aven. Four classes of characters are available: Knights, Alchemists, Druids and hunters known as Berserkers. The field map will be generated randomly to offer a constant challenge to players. More than 100 levels full of items, magic artifacts and other equipment are waiting to be completed. The very action-oriented gameplay will allow for players to resort to both hack-and-slash attacks as well as magic to take one of the more than 150 different foes featured in the game. Making use of the PlayStation Portable's WiFi feature, the development team is placing a particular emphasis on multiplayer gameplay. A playable version of the game will be on exhibit at the Consumer Electronics Show in Las Vegas.

Untold Legends: Brotherhood of the Blade will be available when Sony Computer Entertainment America will launch the PlayStation Portable in March.
