Hironobu Sakaguchi Talks Mist Walker
08.12.04 - 1:32 PM

In an interview with Japanese website Gpara, Final Fantasy mastermind Hironobu Sakaguchi has revealed that his developing studio Mist Walker is working on two projects for an undisclosed platform. While he did not get into specifics, he mentioned that he was trying to put his experience of 20 years as a game creator into the games' development, by implementing the best aspects of his previous works. Furthermore, he is aiming to create games which will make the audience cry, the way only novels and movies do. Apart from the fact that both titles will be RPGs, Sakaguchi did not mention any specifics. In the interview he did however confirm that earlier this year he had left his long-time employer, Square Enix.

Mist Walker was set up three years ago, but only recently have details regarding the company been published. As previously reported, Sakaguchi will act as Mist Walker's president, with Kensuke Tanaka joining him as vice president. Tanaka joined the company from Square Enix, where he has been involved in such projects as the internet platform PlayOnline and Final Fantasy Tactics Advance.
