Atlus has released its results for the fiscal year, which ended on March 31st, today. The Takara subsidiary posted a net profit of 37 million yen (329.651 USD) on sales of 17.16 billion yen (152.89 million USD). While the latter figure means in increase of 5.3% over the fiscal year 2002/2003, profit declined by 85.4%. Following its acquisition by Takara, Atlus has entered a phase of structural changes, yet at the same time still managed to release several successful titles. Sales of Shin Megami Tensei III - Nocturne Maniacs for PlayStation 2 easily exceeded prior estimates and Growlanser 4 performed better than its predecessors.

For the current fiscal year, Atlus wants to continue its focus on original, highly profitable titles centered on its flagship Shin Megami Tensei series. Development based on content owned by its parent company Takara, such as Duel Masters, and distribution of mobile content will also commence. In addition to the releases of Digital Devil Saga - Avatar Tuner and other offline titles, Atlus will also enter the market of PC-based online games.
