Aspyr Media has announced plans to bring a Macintosh version of Bioware's hit RPG title Star Wars: Knights of the Old Republic this summer. The game's newest version will be released sometime in August.

Update: Aspyr has also updated its site with a section on the title. While any potential new or changed features are still a mystery, the system requirements have been revealed. While some may question the requirement of a DVD drive, it's worth noting that any Mac that shipped with a processor speed of 1 GHz + will have come equipped with a Combo or Super Drive, meeting this requirement as well.

• PowerPC G4 or G5, 1GHz or faster
• 256 MB RAM
• 4 GB free disk space
• 3D Graphic Acceleration required (ATI Radeon 7500/nVidia GeForce 2 or better, 32 MB of VRAM)
• DVD drive required to install and play
