Dragon Quest V PS2 Sells 720,000 Copies in Japan

Square Enix's PlayStation 2 remake of Dragon Quest V: Tenguu no Hanayome sold more than 720,000 copies on the day of its release in Japan yesterday. The Arte Piazza-developed title easily outsold its competition, boasting sales of 722,078, on a sell-through rate of 68.2%. Yesterday and today alone, Square Enix has shipped more than 1.3 million copies of the game to Japanese retail stores.

In further Dragon Quest-related news, an official Dragon Quest V strategy guide will be available on April 23rd for 1,333 yen ($12.55 US).
