Sega Releases Quarterly Results

Sega has released its quarterly results for the first three quarters of the fiscal year 2003/2004. According to the figures released today, sales were down by 4.1% in a year-to-year comparison by 144.5 billion yen ($1.37 billion US), while the net profit rose to 7.6 billion yen ($72.07 million US), an increase by 92.3%. From October until December 2003, Sega has released 28 titles, which managed to sell a combined total of 2.43 million copies worldwide. For the full fiscal year ending on March 31st, the company has adjusted its projections to sales of 190 billion yen ($1.80 billion US) and a net profit of 8 billion yen ($75.86 million US), due to the delayed releases of several major titles.
