Baldur's Gate: Dark Alliance II Goes Gold
01.05.04 - 10:08 PM

Baldur's Gate: Dark Alliance II, the sequel to the PS2, Xbox, and GCN game of the same name has gone gold for the Playstation 2. The original game's developers, Snowblind Studios, passed on Dark Alliance II in favor of working on Sony Online Entertainment's title of the same style, Champions of Norrath: Realms of EverQuest. Interplay's recently-emptied divsion, Black Isle Studios, is behind the Dark Alliance sequel. Employing Wizards of the Coast's D20 Dungeons and Dragons ruleset and the Forgotten Realms campaign world, Dark Alliance II is said to be "...among the best games Interplay has ever produced", by Interplay's CEO, Herve Caen.

Baldur's Gate: Dark Alliance II is set for a January 20th release on the Playstation 2.
