Dreamcast Support Continues
12.27.03 - 3:33 PM

While the major third party publishers as well as Sega itself have long stopped developing Dreamcast software, companies such as Alchemist and NEC Interchannel have announced their intention to continue their support for Sega's last console. In a survey conducted by Japanese publication Dorimaga, NEC Interchannel mentioned that they were not aiming to bring mediocre titles to the system, but instead port high-profile games. At the same time, the company also wants to strengthen its development of original titles. Alchemist also pledged continued support for the platform, in the form of both ports and original titles. The first new title might be revealed in late January 2004. Pioneer Soft disclosed that it was preparing several titles for a 2004 release. Last but not least, Ecole confirmed the development of one game aimed at a female audience.
