Bug Reported in Pokemon Ruby and Sapphire
12.13.03 - 1:45 PM

Nintendo has revealed a bug in the Japanese version of its best selling Game Boy Advance titles Pokemon Ruby and Sapphire. The bug appears after the games have been running for more than one year and is related to their internal clock. While the general save data remains unaffected by the bug, certain time-related events, such as the growth of berries or lottery however, will not work properly anymore. Players whose copy is affected by the bug can send it in free of charge to a Nintendo service center.

Since the North American and European versions of Pokemon Ruby and Sapphire have only been released this year, it remains to be seen whether they contain the same bug.
