Sega Announces Virtua Fighter Action RPG for PS2, GC
12.01.03 - 4:07 AM

To celebrate the 10th anniversary of its popular fighting series Virtua Fighter, Sega has announced Virtua Fighter Cyber Generation: Judgment Six no Yabou (The Ambition of the Judgment Six), an action RPG for PlayStation 2 and GameCube. The game will take the player to the near future, or more precisely, to the maritime metropolis called Acropolis. There he will control a 14 year old boy called Sei in a network-based virtual reality called Nexus. Just as Sei is about to enter Nexus to go treasure hunting, he encounters an incident, which is linked to a group called The Judgment Six, which is trying to manipulate the world. Sei is blessed with the so-called Virtua Soul (data containing the secrets of all great fighters taking part in a legendary tournament) and so begins the story of Virtua Fighter Cyber Generation. Joining Sei is the game's heroine Toka, who is also living in Acropolis. Since she had to witness the bitter struggle between her father and brother since her early childhood, the 15 year old has nothing but distrust for cheerful people. Hence her blunt manners and rather inactive attitude towards others does not come as a surprise.

Virtua Fighter Cyber Generation: Judgment Six no Yabou will be available in Japan sometime in summer 2004.
