Funcom Talks About Future Of Shadowlands
11.09.03 - 1:31 PM

Upon taking over as game director of Anarchy Online, Marius Enge has shared his vision for the future of Funcom's popular MMORPG and its recently released expansion Shadowlands in a press release today. With today's 15.2 update of the expansion, the company has implemented various improvements in Shadowlands, among them a reload button for any weapon, improved functionality as well as several new entry and exit points for various gardens and sanctuaries. For the near future, the newly appointed game director wants to focus his attention on spawn and item drop rates as well as faction and game balance issues. Looking further ahead, he plans to stick to the science fiction-themed environments and improve the social atmosphere within the game. To achieve the latter goal, Funcom has already commenced the development of a second expansion pack.

Enge took over as game designer of the Oslo, Norway-based company's most successful title to date after his predecessor Gaute Godager assumed his role on a team working on a new, yet-to-be announced title.
