Nintendo of America announced earlier that the GameCube console's retail price will be $99.99 US as of today, down from $149. The price drop now makes the GC the same price as the Game Boy Advance SP, and $80 cheaper than both the PlayStation 2 and Xbox.

Some notable upcoming GameCube RPGs for North America include Harvest Moon: A Wonderful Life on December 23rd, Final Fantasy: Crystal Chronicles on February 9th of next year, and Tales of Symphonia on March 15th.
