Sony Computer Entertainment CTO Okamoto Resigns

Sony Computer Entertainment's Chief Technical Officer Shinichi Okamoto has left the company, which he helped to set up in the early 1990s, on August 31st. Okamoto, a graduate from Tokyo's prestigious Waseda University joined Sony in 1989 and has been involved in the development of the original PlayStation, the current PlayStation 2 as well as SCE's next project, the PlayStation 3. It is not yet known what reasons led to his departure, nor what the 45-year old will do in the future.
