Weekly Japanese Sales Charts Update

Genki's PlayStation 2 racer Shutokou Battle 01 (Tokyo Highway Battle 01) claimed the top spot in this week's edition by selling 129,675 copies upon its debut. Game Village's PlayStation 2 version of the classic adventure EVE Burst Error, EVE Burst Error Plus entered the charts at spot 7, after selling 20,294 copies in its first week. Konami's Bokura no Taiyou (Boktai) slipped out of the TOP 10, falling from spot 8 to 11 this week. The Hideo Kojima-directed GameBoy Advance action RPG added 14,590 copies to its total of 37,903 copies. The next two spots are occupied by two new entries from Sega and Capcom. Shining Soul II sold 13,688 copies and Onimusha Tactics 13,167 copies in their first week. Enterbrain's True Love Story Summer Days, and yet... for PlayStation 2 entered the charts at spot 16, selling 11,436 copies. After having sold 9,342 copies this week and a total of 224,159 copies, Nintendo's Mother 1 and 2 for GameBoy Advance slipped from spot 13 to 19. Pokemon Sapphire and Ruby also lost some ground, selling 8,958 copies (for a total of 2,255,864 copies) and 7,892 copies (for a total of 2,195,272 copies) respectively, at spots 20 and 24 this week. Dragon Drive World D Break dropped from spot 14 to 33, as the GBA RPG from Banpresto sold 4,989 copies this week and a total of 16,802 copies. At spot 36, Nintendo's Pokemon Box Ruby and Sapphire sold 4,660 copies this week for a total of 150,764 copies. Square Enix's Hanjuku Eiyuu Tai 3D (Hanjuku Hero VS 3D) came in at spot 37 this week, thereby selling 4,565 copies and a total of 143,713 copies since its June 26th release. The second Square Enix title in the charts, Dragon Quest Monsters Caravan Heart for GBA added 2,912 copies to its grand total of 555,067 copies this week. Nintendo's Fire Emblem: Rekka no Ken dropped from spot 45 to 46, selling 2,788 copies this week and a total of 235,640 copies.
