Hiroshi Kataoka Appointed Sega AM2 President

Following Yuu Suzuki's appointment to head Sega's R&D division, the company has appointed Hiroshi Kataoka to succeed Suzuki as head of Sega's most prestigous development studio, Sega AM2. Kataoka has worked on various Sega classics including Fighting Vipers, Fighters Mega Mix, Shenmue and most recently the PlayStation 2 version of Virtua Fighter 4 Evolution. He joined the company as a planner in 1991 and was appointed head of AM2's first development division last year. He will retain this position, in addition to his new title of president of Sega AM2.
