Neverwinter Nights Demo for Mac OS X
07.02.03 - 6:30 PM

MacSoft has released a demo of the long-delayed Mac OS X version of Neverwinter Nights. The demo grants players the ability to create a character (or choose a pre-made one), and get accustomed to the controls by playing through an early-game tutorial section, as well as some actual combat experience later on.

While the Windows version of NWN was released over a year ago, this is sure to be good news for Mac fans nonetheless, as the game is finally coming soon (after originally being scheduled for release last summer).

The system requirements, while not too high, are listed below:

  • 450 MHz or faster processor
  • Mac OS X v. 10.2.6
  • 256 MB RAM
  • 32MB video card (Radeon/GeForce 2MX or better)

The 240 MB (though it expands to over 600) demo can be downloaded at various sites, including MacGameFiles.com and VersionTracker.com.

Developed by Bioware (who, of course, developed the game for Windows originally) and being published by MacSoft, Neverwinter Nights is currently scheduled to release later this month, on July 25th.
