A Tale In The Desert Status Update
06.04.03 - 10:16 PM

Since its February launch, A Tale in the Desert has evolved in the direction intended by its creators, as players have passed various tests ranging from sculpture creation to beetle breeding to scavenger hunting. Now the online society in the MMOG, themed after ancient Egypt, faces a new test - the selection of a wise leader. The so-called "Demi-Pharaoh" will be chosen through a series of elections. Any user, whose character is a member of the Discipline Of Leadership, can declare his or her candidacy at any of the game's Great Universities of Leadership. Today the real test will commence, as candidates will be placed into groups of six to seven, described as "Rank 4 Demi-Pharaoh Groups". Each group has to select one candidate, who will then enter the next election phase. After Rank 3 and 2 elections, one Rank 1 group will be created. Which member of that final group will become Demi-Pharaoh will be determined by a general election, open to all members of the A Tale in the Desert community.
