Monolith Soft has announced two new Xenosaga titles for PlayStation 2. First is a re-release of Episode I, titled Xenosaga Episode I Reloaded. Similar to Square's Final Fantasy X International or Kingdom Hearts Final Mix, Reloaded will be the identical to the US version of Episode I. Xenosaga Epsiode I Reloaded will be available in Japan sometime in October 2003.

Xenosaga Episode II will be unveiled at a fan event on July 21st. While series mastermind Tetsuya Takahashi is involved in both Episode II's direction and design, the game's direction and scenario is being handled by younger staffers. Shion will make her return as protagonist and the story will center around the mysteries of Jr. His interest for MOMO will also be explained. Furthermore, a new mystery regarding Zohar will make its way into the game's story. Last but not least, it was also confirmed that Episode II will be followed by Episodes III and IV.
