Koei has posted strong financial results for the last fiscal year ending on March 31st, 2003, following the success of its smash hit Shin Sangoku Musou 3, which has been available in Japan in February and became a million seller within a matter of nine days. Consolidated sales were up by 12% compared to the previous term, reaching 26.8 billion yen (229.69 million USD). The consolidated profit rose by 13% to 6.2 billion yen (53.14 million USD), the hightest number in company history.

For the current fiscal year, Koei projects a profit of 7.2 billion yen (61.71 million USD) and sales of 31.3 billion yen (268.26 million USD). Apart from Nobunaga's Ambition Online for the PlayStation 2, the company apparently also plans to take Nobunaga's Ambition for PC online as well. Furthermore, a new sister company will be established in London to improve Koei's standing on the European market.
