Sega of America has shipped the first online game for Nintendo GameCube, Sonic Team's Phantasy Star Online Episode I and II. The monthly fee for playing the game online has been fixed at 8.95USD. While the game can also be played offline, certain quests like a Halloween-themed quest, which will be available exclusively until November 8th. Other such events will follow in the future. The online chat feature will allow players to communicate in English, German, Spanish, French or Japanese with each other.
Phantasy Star Online Episode I and II carries a price tag of 49.99USD.
