Final Fantasy X-2 Revealed

After weeks of speculation and just four days before Square's analysts' meeting on the 22nd, the first screenshots and details of the sequel to Final Fantasy X have surfaced. The game, titled Final Fantasy X-2, will feature Final Fantasy X's female lead, Yuna, as the main character and will take place in the same world as Final Fantasy X, however, Square has added new environments. In total contrast to its predecessor's world, technology has conquered Spira in FFX-2. As a first in the series, the actual environments are now changing, requiring the player to jump across gaps, for instance. Just like on the poster shown at this year's Tokyo Game Show, Yuna's outfit also has changed drastically, and she now wields two guns.

Final Fantasy X-2 for the PlayStation 2 will be released in Japan sometime in March 2003.
