Lunar Legend Officially Announced For US

Ubi Soft announced their plans today to localize and publish Lunar Legend, the Gameboy Advance version of the classic GameArts' RPG. The game is now the second major retelling of the Silver Star story; previous incarnations were released for the Sega CD, Sega Saturn, and Sony PlayStation. For those unfamiliar with the series, Lunar tells the story of Alex, a boy in a small village who dreams of becoming a Dragonmaster and adventurer like his hero, Dyne.

This version of Lunar also features:

- Enhanced graphics from previous versions
- New attack skills called "Arts-Gauge:" as you attack and are attacked, a meter continues to fill up. Once full, characters will have an extra battle option; for example, Luna can refill the entire party's HP and MP.
- Over 50 scenario events
- New weapons and armor
- The ability to exchange items with a friend via the GBA link cable.
- 170 in game trading cards, which are collectible and sometimes needed to solve story events.
- Hidden dungeons filled with rare items and cards.

Lunar Legend is due for a North American release this November and will retail for $29.99. In the meantime, be sure to check out our seven exclusive screens of the English version.
