Suikoden III Tops Weekly Charts

Konami Computer Entertainment Tokyo's highly-anticipated RPG, Genso Suikoden III, claimed the top spot in the weekly sales charts, selling 216,864 copies in just three days after its July 11th release. With Yugioh Duel Monster 7 for GBA selling 19,192 copies this week and a total of 148,684 since its July 4th release, a second Konami RPG has found its way into the top 3.

Nintendo's Golden Sun: The Lost Age (155,569 copies sold) has captured spot 6 and Bandai's .hack Volume 1 came in 9th by adding 12,700 copies to a total of 142,246. Other games in this week's best-selling list include Digimon World 3 at spot 10, Enix's Dragon Quest Monsters 1 and 2 at 14, SCE's Popolocrois Hajimari no Bouken at 15, Bandai's Riviera at 19, Arc The Lad Kishin Fukkatsu at 20, Konami's Tokimeki Memorial Girl's Side at 21, Gust's PS2 game Judie no Atelier at 22 and the PSOne Books re-releases of Suikoden I and II at spots 44 and 23, respectively.

Kingdom Hearts pushed its total to 786,588 copies and Final Fantasy XI came in at rank 50, selling 2,281 copies this week for a total of 106,310 since its May 16th release.
