Namco Partners With Nintendo

In a Japanese press conference held today, Nintendo and Namco announced that they have indeed signed a deal for co-development of a new Star Fox game. In more RPG related news, Namco has announced their newest line-up that will take them into December 2003.

GameCube:

Tales RPG (title to be announced) - July 2003
Original RPG (title to be announced) - December 2003

GameBoy Advance:

Tales of the World: Narikiri Dungeon 2 - October 2002
Klonoa of the Wind (title to be announced) - November 2002
Tales of Phantasia - December 2002

Tales of the World is a sequel to the GameBoy Color RPG, Tales of Phantasia: Narikiri Dungeon. Klonoa of the Wind is purported to be an action RPG, based, of course, on the Klonoa series. Tales of Phantasia will be a port of the first installment of the Tales series, though it wasn't mentioned if it would be a port of the original Super Famicom title (which is what's likely), or the gorgeous PlayStation remake.

Despite the many titles Namco has announced for Nintendo systems, they still plan on developing and publishing for other systems. Currently, Tales of Destiny 2 is scheduled to be released later this year in Japan for the PlayStation 2.
