Final Fantasy XI OST Announced

While Square has talked a lot about Final Fantasy XI's gameplay details, the company has been strangely silent on the game's music. No soundtrack had been announced yet, only the face that Nobuo Uematsu was obviously again in charge of composing the score for the eleventh installment of the series. Now Square has announced that the Final Fantasy XI Original Soundtrack will contain 51 tracks, shipping on 2 CDs, and probably will be released on June 5th. The standard version will retail for 2854yen ($21.51USD). Fans of limited editions, however, might take a look at the 3,500yen ($26.38USD) LE version, which will ship with an additional Final Fantasy XI promo DVD.

Furthermore, Square is planning to release a 20020220 Music From Final Fantasy album, featuring Nobuo Uematsu's live performance with the Tokyo Philharmonic Symphony Orchestra at the Tokyo International Forum on February 22nd. 20020220 Music From Final Fantasy (catalogue number SSCX-10065) will be released on May 9th carrying a price tag of 3364yen ($25.35USD).
