New Rune Details From Software has announced that their GameCube Card Action RPG Rune will hit Japanese shelves on April 25th. The game will sell for 6,800yen ($50.67USD). No US release date has been announced so far. During your progress in the game, you have to collect cards which allow you to use various kind of magic and summon monsters that support your characters in battle. But not only does the game's battle system revolve around those cards, but also Rune's story as well. Legend has it that one such card stopped an ancient evil being. But as you might have guessed, evil in RPGs tends to be pesky and thus, just in time for the beginning of Rune's story, it makes a frightening return in the form of black mist. Rune's lead character is the heiress to the throne of Orange, named Katja Gerber, whose kingdom is also attacked by the evil mist. Aside from Katja, the cast boasts her dad, King Gerber, Gloria, a beauty with blue hair and eyes, Gulid and Russell, a young fairy researcher. |
