More Shining Soul Info

Sega has unveiled more info on their new RPG Shining Soul for Nintendo's GameBoy Advance. Dubbed as a Communication RPG, the game will support up to four players via link cable, although one copy per player will be needed. Players can roam in one dungeon simultaneously and swap items.

Players can choose between four classes (human warrior, human magician, elf archer and Dragonite berserker), select their characters' body color and name to create a customized characters themselves.

It has also been stated that Yoshitaka Tamaki, character designer for the original Shining Force and Shining and the Darkness, will be in charge of Shining Soul's character designs.

Games of the Shining series of RPGs have made glorious appearances on the Genesis (Megadrive), GameGear and Saturn. Shining Soul is currently slated for a spring 2002 release in Japan. You can check two screen shots of the game here.
