Black Moon Chronicles Release Revealed

In a follow-up to their recent delay, the extent of which was previously unclear, Vircom has announced a new official release date for their cartoon-based MMORPG Black Moon Chronicles: Winds of War. Originally scheduled for release on November 1st, the game is now set for March 2002.

In conjunction with the release date, the beta test period has also been extended, allowing for continued feedback during the run-up to Black Moon Chronicles' release. The product of such feedback is evident in the continued evolution of the game, the most recent of which can be seen in the current patch, adding new features like overhead interface data and new cut scenes. Gamers currently struggling with bugs and gameplay issues in the beta should be pleased with length of the delay, as it should give Vircom ample time to get the game primed for release.

Upon release, Black Moon Chronicles will be available in two variations. The first will be a full boxed package including a free subscription period of 6 weeks for $34.95, while the second will be a start-up jewel case package including only a 2 week free subscription period for $9.95. Vircom is currently accepting pre-orders for the game on the official website.
