Dark Age of Camelot Now in Stores

Mythic Entertainment announced, today, the release of its highly anticipated new Massively Multiplayer Online RPG, Dark Age of Camelot. Partnered with Vivendi Universal Interactive Publishing, the game is releasing one week ahead of schedule. Based on orders from retailers and pre-orders, Dark Age of Camelot is set to be the fastest selling MMORPG thus far.

Mythic Entertainment also announced the company is seeking to set a new standard in areas such as customer service. When Dark Age of Camelot releases, the company is planning to have 46 customer service representatives standing by on the phones, Internet, and inside the game to make sure that any problems that arise will be minimal.

Dark Age of Camelot takes place in three realms, united under Arthur’s rule. Each player will assume a character from one of the three realms: Midgard, Hibernia, or Albion. Each realm is based on the mythologies of Viking-era Scandinavia, ancient Ireland, and Arthurian Britain. While keeping the traditional appeal of MMORPGs, Dark Age of Camelot adds the additional challenges of a sort of “capture the flag” scenario between realms. Dark Age of Camelot features 3D-accelerated graphics with movable camera, multiple class and race combinations, Player vs. Player and Player vs. Environment action, a robust trade skill system, and the most comprehensive player Guild system in any MMORPG.

We've also got quite a few screen shots and pieces of artwork for the game, so check them out by following the link below.
