GameCube Delayed In Japan, Probably US

Nintendo announced yesterday that the Japanese launch of the GameCube will be delayed until September 14th. No official reason was given for the bump from the July release, but President Hiroshi Yamauchi commented that Nintendo did not want to be embarassed by shortages at the launch. GameCube is currently scheduled to be on display at this year's E3.

Interplay will be showing a number of titles at E3. On the PC front we have Baldur's Gate II: Throne of Bhaal and Black Isle Studios' TORN. Baldur's Gate: Dark Alliance will be shown off for the PlayStation 2.

The PC version of Summoner will be on display at THQ's booth at E3.

Mig Entertainment will be publishing their new love adventure game Triangle Again on both the Xbox and the PlayStation 2. Look for Masaru, Kasumi, and Akari (the three main girls) sometime in Quarter Four of this year.

Chun Soft will releasing a new edition in their Mysterious Dungeons series for the GameBoy Color. Titled Mysterious Dungeons Shiren GB2, the game will make use of the link cable for communication battles. What this means, I don't know. Mysterious Dungeons: Shiren GB2 should be released in July in Japan.

Sega will be re-releasing the soundtrack for Panzer Dragoon Saga on April 21st in Japan. The two disc set will contain both BGM and arranged versions and will retail for 3,150 yen ($25.77 USD).

Sony Computer Entertainment Europe will become the exclusive publisher of Square's Final Fantasy X and The Bouncer for the European market. The Bouncer should ship early this summer, while Final Fantasy X won't be seen until mid 2002. Both titles will be translated into five different languages.
