Final Fantasy IV and Chrono Trigger U.S. Bound?

Final Fantasy IX may have been the last installment for the series on the PlayStation, but Square's far from done with the system. The company is considering publishing two fan favorites, Chrono Trigger and Final Fantasy IV. Final Fantasy IV was left out of the U.S. Anthology, while Square has dodged questions over the possibility of a US release for the PSX Chrono Trigger since its release for the PlayStation last year.

"We're looking into the possibility of bringing Chrono Trigger and Final Fantasy IV to North America," a Square-EA representative said. "But nothing has been officially announced."

If either or both games are published, they will be lower-priced when released. Final Fantasy IV will be a port of the PSX version released in Japan, complete with the new CG opening and ending. The PSX Chrono Trigger sports Akira Toriyama-inspired anime cinemas. So what can you do? Give Square your input! Send them an e-mail at support@squaresoft.com and tell them what you want.
