Friday's News Bits

2,100,000 copies shipped in the first 3 days of Dragon Quest VII's release, and have probably been sold by now. Faithful to its tradition, the new DQ title was heralded by mass excitement and huge lines in front of stores at its release. Check out these photos from Geisen.com, they speak for themselves:

The first screen shots of Grandia: Parallel Trippers have finally been revealed. Although the story is supposed to focus on three new characters, it seems that most of the cast of Grandia will be there as well. Check out these two pics, which show evidence of the presence of at least Sue, Guido and Liete.

Bandai has just revealed their upcoming WonderSwan Color (tentative name), and, as previously rumored, one of the launch titles is none other than Final Fantasy! These early pictures show the title has been greatly improved in terms of graphics. The WonderSwan Color is expected to hit Japanese retailers next December.

And, as usual, though a little late this time, here are last week's (August 14th - August 20th) game sales figures. Prepare for the DQ7 tidal wave next time!
