Square has announced yet another WonderSwan RPG, this time an original game. the game's title is Kaitaku Simulation: Hataraku Chocobo, which translates to Breeding Simulation: Working Chocobo. Like the title says, the game will be about breeding Chocobo on a continent. You will supposedly be able to change the job of your Chocobo's (!!?); also, searching for rare chocobos will be one of your tasks in the game. Kaitaku Simulation: Hataraku Chocobo should be released this August in Japan.

Unlike previously reported, it looks like Super Robot Taisen Alpha has not been delayed and will indeed be released on May 25th. Banpresto has denied the rumor of the August delay. The Dreamcast version, though, should still be released in August.

Super Mario RPG 2 (tentative title) will supposedly come out on August 11th. Super Mario RPG 2, a sequel to the Super Famicom original, has been in the works for quite some time (it had already been shown at last year's E3) but not many details are known about the game system or story.

Tonkin House is working on a Playstation RPG. Entitled Blend X Brand, the game will have PocketStation support and will be released this summer for a price of 5,800 yen. We have some screen shots, PocketStation shots and artwork for the game.

Working Designs' Arc the Lad collection now includes a fourth game: Arc the Lad Monster Game with Casino Game, the Arc the Lad spin-off game that lets you capture monsters from the series.

Mattel Interactive has announced a Playstation 2 RPG named Eternal Blade. Filled with a fantasy/medieval feeling, the game will supposedly take about 60 hours to complete.

Koei is working on a PC network RPG entitled Apsaras, to be released this autumn. The character designer is renowned artist Jun Suemi, who previously worked on the Playstation RPGs Zill O'll and Asuncia. You can check out the first screen shots and some artwork for the game.
