Wild ARMs 2 Released!

Some say that Wild ARMs was one of the first RPGs that jumpstarted the genre on PlayStation. Whether that's true or not, is up for debate, but many still enjoyed the time spent with this game. Wild ARMs 2 takes those fundamental elements and attempts to give each one a boost. The playable characters have doubled, the 3D battle graphics have improved and they now encompass the entire game engine (as opposed to 2D area maps in the first one), and the music has been augmented with even more tracks composed by Michiko Naruke.

Now, see our first U.S. screen shots, which show all visual aspects mentioned above! We also have U.S. packaging scans.

In case you're wondering what happened to the vocals, so far they look to be absent. The disc one opening sports the sounds of trumpet and guitar in place of the vocal song found in the Japanese version. The new opening can be found in the real audio section.

To wrap things up, we have a beautiful collection of artwork scanned directly from the official artbook as well as the Japanese soundtrack.

That's all the new media for now, but if you haven't seen it before, be sure to check out our Japanese screen shots and the game's map.
