News for Saturday Morning

New info on the Dreamcast online action RPG, Ring Age, by Takuyo. You can choose from eight characters in the game. Afterwards, you must fight through multiple dungeons, all while competing with the other players to collect items. You can set traps for your opponents, but you must also watch out for their traps. You can also cooperate with other players against enemies. The game does have a one player offline mode, but it's optimized (and more fun really) with lots of people.

RPG Maker will finally be making its way to the states this summer. Agetec will be releasing it, though the US version is actually RPG Maker 3, for the Playstation in Japan. Thanks to GIA for this bit of news.

For you Asheron's Call players, the Thorns of Hopeslayer event is now going on. The gameworld goes through a change every month. In this month's event, Shadow creatures are invading Dereth and the citizens have a call to arms to get rid of the monsters.

Loved Ashley Angel's performance as Alex in Lunar:SSSC? Want to see more of him? In Making the Band, Ashley co-stars in a Real World type show (the producers and creators are the same; go figure), about a bunch of guys in Orlando, Florida (wow, what a coincidence...exactly where I live) who have stopped getting polite and instead of getting real, decide they want to try out to be in a boy band. Think N'Sync or the Backstreet Boys. The show airs at 9:30 p.m. every Friday night on ABC. So not only will you get to see lots of fighting and backstabbing, but they'll sing and dance as it happens!
