New Ogre Battle: Legend of the Zenobia Prince News!

While originally thought to be a near carbon copy of the sleeper strategy hit for the SNES (and later PSX), new information from Neo Geo's site tells us the good news about Ogre Battle: Legend of the Zenobia Prince: a new storyline, characters, and more!

While details are sketchy, you are given the option to diverge from the original storyline after stage 14 and take control of Tristan, the starting point of the special storyline added in this version of the game. In addition, the Neo Geo Pocket Color version of the game will include a number of new classes and items as well. There will be a variation in the attack animation as well.

In addition, you will be able to buy Ogre Battle: Legend of the Zenobia Prince along with a Neo Geo Pocket Color (Crystal Blue) together in one package for the low price of 10,000 yen for those who'll be buying the system just for this game (I know you're out there...come out!). Of course, you'll also be able to buy the game separately, for 3,800 yen.

Ogre Battle: Legend of the Zenobia Prince is still on schedule for a release in Japan on April 27. Until then, we have a few screen shots for you to view.
