Thursday's News Bits

SVG has struck a deal with Square that will allow to release games across Europe and other PAL territories. Front Mission 3 will be the first game to appear under this new agreement, with several other Square titles to follow in the future, including the newly released Vagrant Story.

Christian Gloe, apparently elated with the news had this to say, "We are delighted and honored to have signed such a major deal with a company of SquareSoft's standing. They are recognized around the world as one of the leading publishers in our industry and have consistently demonstrated a commitment to quality and innovation second to none. The deal is obviously a massive vote in confidence in the strength of the SVG team. We relish the opportunity to work with some of the best known franchises in gaming and to further establish the Square brand in Europe."

On a different note, Blizzard has opened up a new faq page that explains certain things about Diablo 2 and Warcraft 3. Like how beta testing participants will be decided, the new stance on cheating in Battle.net, whether or not Warcraft 3 is planned for the Mac, and the progress on their competition with Working Designs and Enix on who can delay their games the longest.

Ok maybe not the last one, but I think that would cut it as a frequently asked question from me.
