Editorial Update

As I stated with the previous editorial update last year, a new feature has been introduced. It's simply a "suggested topic", which gives you an idea on what to write about for an editorial. The first suggested topic is: "The Role of Graphics in RPGs". For every editorials update, a new topic will be introduced. More details regarding the topic can be found on the editorials page.

For our first editorial, editor ArchAngel has written a counterpoint to David Beier's "Why Square Makes The Best-Selling RPGs" editorial from last year. ArchAngel raises some interesting points on Square's current popularity, and how it may disappear in the future, and is definitely a good read.

The other editorial is by David Beier himself, entitled, "I Like The New RPGs", which makes several points regarding the RPGs of the past compared to the RPGs of the present, and explains that the newer graphics in the latest releases have hardly taken the spotlight so much that gameplay and storyline have been sacrificed.

Oh, and just to clear things up, if you're wondering who I am, it's still the person who went by the name of Synbios. I just had a name change... that's all. For future reference, my email is now parn@rpgfan.com. I'm still your favorite editor though, right? Right? :)
