Final Fantasy VIII Might Get its Own "Piano Collection"

During a bit of shopping at CD Japan, I stumbled upon something that most people probably don't know about. I feel it is important I tell everyone so that the fans can get their hands on this one before it goes out of print.

Some of you may recall the amazing works known as the Final Fantasy Piano Collections. These CDs were made for Final Fantasy IV, V, and VI. Each CD has about 13 tracks of music arranged incredibly well for the piano, and they sold very quickly. These days, the CDs are incredibly rare and they sell for very large amounts of money (Final Fantasy 6 Piano recently sold for $405 at Ebay).

Why have I rambled on about these CDs? Well, it seems that Final Fantasy VIII will soon be getting its own Piano Collection. Over at CD Japan, I searched for Final Fantasy to see what CDs they had. The first thing listed is a CD with a planned release of January 21st, 2000. And that CD is FF8 PIANO! Click here to perform the same search I did to see this CD.

On another note, Square did release another Piano Collection for one of their newer games. SaGa Frontier 2 Arranged is basically a Piano Collection, and it too could become rare very soon. You can buy this CD at AnimeNation or Game Music Online. Check for these links on the related links on the right.
