New Ever Grace Info

Recently it was announced that Ever Grace would become a Playstation 2 title. From Software felt that it could do more with the Playstation 2's obvious advantages over Sony's original hardware.

But since then details on the game have been sketchy at best. Perhaps that will change as the game nears completion.

At least From Software saw fit to release the storyline's premise. Ever Grace follows a man named Yurt who happens to have a curse on him, or more accurately, an emblem that is cursed.

This emblem's power affects the majority of people who dwell nearby Yurt, causing them to inevitably die(and I thought I had a weird social life.) However this doesn't seem to faze Yurt, as he is on a quest of revenge. He seeks the murderers of his father, who unfortunately happen to be some type of army.

Yurt gets sidetracked though, and eventually finds himself in an entirely different dimension full of beasts he isn't familiar with. In this new dimension the mystery of Yurt's emblem will be unlocked, as well as what is the significance of this new dimension.

Ever Grace is a sort of Action/RPG which borrows heavily from Nintendo's Zelda: The Ocarina of Time. However, this game sports a completely different method for pulling off special moves via crystals called Palmyra. Battles in Ever Grace also require good precision to defeat many enemies, as they each have specific weak points.

In an unrelated story, Konami has announced its first Playstation 2 RPG. This game called Reiselied, used to be in development for Sega's Dreamcast, but has since been ported over to work with the Playstation 2. There are three main characters in the game. The player's character is a female whos name has yet to be revealed. Combat is said to be turn based. Lets hope Konami speaks up more about this game soon. There isn't much to go on at the moment.
