Enix Ramps Up Its Development

After several weeks of hearing about mostly delays on Dragon Quest VII and the opening of a new U.S. subsidiary, Enix has announced it is working on several new titles. Six of these games are going to be hosted on the yet to be released Playstation 2 console. The first of these should be out sometime in March 2000, with another quickly following in April.

Following the release of the highly anticipated Dragon Quest VII, Enix plans on remaking an older game from the series for the PSX. What game this could be, as well as if it will become a straight port of the original is still up in the air, but collectors or fans of the series may want to check it out anyway.

Lastly, the Game Boy Color still seems to be the RPG giant's portable of choice. Soon a remake of Dragon Quest III(this may rule out Dragon Quest III as the PSX remake by default) and a sequel to Dragon Quest Monster will hit the popular portable, rounding out the role playing frenzy Enix is set to unleash on the masses.

Not all is well however. Valkyrie Profile has been delayed from early December to all the way down near the Christmas holiday. December 22 to be exact. At least anyone anxiously awaiting this game could have a chance of persuading it as a gift now. Although if you do try that and get caught in the act of hint dropping, you didn't get that idea from me.
